Reply To: Why did my battery explode ???

Well it has not been run much. about 200k in a year. Had not been out for 8 days and just sitting with the battery connected to the electrics. Looking at it again I now see that it was the battery to rectifier wire that was very hot – and the rectifier was hot too. So to draw that sort of current there must be a short to earth?
