Hi Jim I’ve stripped the rusty 501, one wheel, front fork assy, rear hub , plastic air filter box, rusty handlebar and centre stand available for very modest prices if anyone looking. Also the complete 502 for the $100 I paid or swap for a Vespa Super/GL/Sprint front fork and headset. Cheers Andrew

$100 for the 502 sounds very reasonable Andrew. I’m sure someone will snap that up. Good luck with the front fork and headset you need – have you tried Matt Brookes?

Hi,

I have a 501 with rubber block suspension. The suspension rubber looks very doubtful.

What have others done about this problem?

A conversion to 502 suspension would solve the problem but then it wouldn’t be original.

The rear end would cllearly involve a lot of components.

Hello Greg,

Has the rubber perished and is it unusable ?

Repco sell some rubber blocks that you may be able to adapt ?

Hi chaps

Greg, I had the rear rubber block suspension for 501 made by a guy outside of Palmerston North.  It was very hard to find him, through the grapevine so a good contact for vulcanized rubber parts.

He said he would keep the mold he made, so give him a shout if you want a perfect new one.   Can’t remember his name but mention mine and the NZeta, he will understand.
